#24 Weekend reads – a week of the blues

I’ve found it hard this week and admit to being a bit blue. A sign of the times for sure, but it’s impossible for this situation not to get on top of you! We’ve already been going for more than six months and still have a long battle ahead – so take care of yourself my friends and accept the negative feelings as they arise. If you can sink into them, they leave faster.

For me, it’s a constant state of puzzlement, wondering when it will end, but knowing it can only happen when the nonsense stops, which has resulted in Covid19 surges everywhere. We’re still not understanding the importance of a global response to this either. Definitely not the brightest species, that’s for sure.

Another highlight this week, my husband recently asked my take on this whole QAnon story and that’s my barometer it’s finally making it into the mainstream. This is a strange conspiracy theory movement and again, a sign of our times, but if you’re wondering what it’s about, here you go, and this isn’t just America, it’s global now.

BBC: QAnon: What is it and where did it come from?

CBS News: Q and the ABC of spreading conspiracy theories

Wikipedia: QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshiping paedophiles running a global child sex-trafficking ring is plotting against President Donald Trump, who is battling them, leading to a “day of reckoning” involving the mass arrest of journalists and politicians.

Lots to take on board this week and plenty of news around the world, not just the US election. In regards to that, I am continuing to have everything crossed for a Biden result. Nothing to do with parties, just human decency.

Charity

Please donate where and if you can. We are not immune to the impact of poverty, even if we aren’t directly impacted. It makes life for everyone worse. I strongly support the UN Refugee Program and World Food Program.

Friends content

None of my pals published anything I can think of, but I did this video to give everyone an update on where we are in the world.
