I am delighted to be the chairman of the Asia Content Marketing Association (ACMA), as we move into a new era as a professional Association. If you know me or have been following me for a long time, you’ll know content marketing is a topic I’ve been banging on about for a very long time. I’ve been banging on about it because I believe it is the transformational tool of business today and businesses who get it – and I mean really get it – know it changes the game.

Content marketing is not advertising, it’s not PR, it’s not marketing, or any other current discipline in the marketing/communications profession. It’s a new umbrella that sits across the top, and it’s about being useful, engaging and relevant to customers, where they are across both digital and physical platforms. That’s how I see it. There are variations of course.

At ACMA, we want everyone in the region to understand what content marketing is and work together with us to make it a success in Asia Pacific – something that transforms businesses. We’ve definitely got a lot of work to do, so having a group of passionate professionals equally committed to the mission is exciting for me personally.

Which leads me to ask – should you become a member too?

Well do you want to be part of the activities we’re running (as a speaker or attendee), where we’ll cover every part of the content marketing spectrum? Yes? Then join.

ACMA has a goal to elevate the art and science of content marketing in the region through events, training, certification, partnerships, networking and content. You can be part of that.

Or are you an owner or employee of a content marketing agency, content production house, a publisher, creative or digital agency, PR firm, content marketing technology provider, media platform, analytics and data company, educator, trainer, consultant, or a marketing and communication professional leading content marketing within your organization AND based in Asia Pacific? Yes? Well this is the Association for you.

All of the above professions/businesses sit underneath the content marketing umbrella and we want all represented in the new ACMA.
