The COVID19 pandemic is not the only crisis we face. The last decade was earth’s hottest on record. Since 1970, we have lost 68% of the population size of mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles.
The North is empty. The doors are shuttered and every day new ‘for rent’ and ‘for sale’ signs are going up. Some of the business owners I spoke with said they would be extremely challenged to make it until Christmas if this isn’t over.
This year – 2020 – is a tough year for many reasons, but it’s also the year Thailand tackles its worst drought in 40 years!! I can not express how alarming it is when the wettest region in the world – the tropics – experiences drought
An Infodemic is when we experience an overload of information – which is usually false or unverified (non-peer-reviewed) information – and it’s a common reality during a crisis, which is why a pandemic ignites a Infodemic.
